It’s Lovely Chicas birthday today! July 7, 2015 marks three years since my trembling fingers pressed publish on my very first blog post. Sitting here thinking about what to write isn’t easy because there is so much I want to say and so much I’m thankful for. Being honest, before publishing Lovely Chicas a spent a few years battling with doubt on whether to begin a blog or not. I was very nervous about publishing the blog because of how people would react. I’m not a fan of being judged but I’ve learned not to care what people think and just do what makes me happy.
Reflecting on the trials, tears, accomplishments and success, I don’t regret my decision. It’s been a whirlwind journey. I created this online space to share a piece of whom I am, to share my ideas and advice with others. This particular year has been a big one which allowed me to successfully work with so many brands, designers on special collaborations and projects. Greater things are coming and I owe that all to my supportive follower’s. I’m very attached to lovely Chicas, this blog has become a part of me. I am happier now than I was 3 years ago. Lovely Chicas has provided me with things I’ve only dreamed of. The shy girl I use to be is long gone; a confident women who’s not afraid to take risk now shines through me.
So, I wasn’t sure how to celebrate my Blogiversary, with so many ideas I decided to simply do a special post with “Pretty in Pink/Candy Land” type photos. Since being normal is not my thing and thinking out of the box is, instead of blowing the candles of a cake why not celebrate with my favorite treat; a candy apple (which btw I only had a single bite of because Xavier decided to eat it all). My entire pinkalicious chic & fabulous look is from Gatsby who were on board to be part of Lovely Chica’s 3rd blogiversary.
With all my love and appreciation I want to thank everyone who has been a part of this amazing journey. Thank you Xavier for not only being an incredible boyfriend but for being the one who makes all my crazy ideas comes to life. My beautiful followers thank you for showing me constant support. Knowing I have so many incredible readers to share my thoughts with is just amazing.
