We officially welcome a New Year, 2020 has arrived. There’s something about beginning a New Year that gets everyone a little more motivated to change things up and start fresh. I’ve been thinking so much about resolutions for this New Year. I’ve actually never been big on setting one specific resolution because I truly believe that we should treat each new day like an opportunity to create change in our lives. I have so many goals and I’m focused on insuring that I will continue to progress and evolve in all areas of my life.
Oficialmente le damos la bienvenida a un Año Nuevo, 2020 ha llegado. Hay algo acerca de comenzar un Año Nuevo que motiva a todos un poco más a cambiar las cosas y comenzar de nuevo. He estado pensando mucho en las resoluciones para este año nuevo. En realidad, nunca he sido grande en establecer una resolución específica porque realmente creo que debemos tratar cada nuevo día como una oportunidad para crear un cambio en nuestras vidas. Tengo muchas metas y estoy enfocada en asegurarme de que continuaré progresando y evolucionando en todas las áreas de mi vida.
2019 has taught me so many valuable lessons and I’m just doing whatever I can to continue developing into the very best version of myself. I’m letting go of things not meant for me, embracing change and welcoming the unknown future with open arms!
2019 me ha enseñado muchas lecciones valiosas y estoy haciendo todo lo posible para continuar desarrollándome en la mejor versión de mí misma. ¡Estoy dejando ir cosas que no son para mí, abrazando el cambio y dando la bienvenida al futuro desconocido con los brazos abiertos!
I wanted to share a few lessons I learned in 2019 so they can inspire you to make the best of 2020.
Quería compartir algunas lecciones que aprendí en 2019 para que puedan inspirarte a sacar lo mejor de 2020.
- Don’t seek anyone’s approval and live life for yourself. Stop spending your energy seeking validation from the world! Spend time creating what you desire in life and less time worrying about what other people think. No busques la aprobación de nadie y vive la vida por ti mismo. ¡Deja de gastar tu energía buscando la validación del mundo! Pase tiempo creando lo que deseas y menos tiempo preocupándote por lo que piensan otras personas.
- Stop questioning and quieting your truth. If something feels wrong, if something goes against what you believe in, speak up. If something is bothering you and goes against your self-love and honor, don’t keep quiet. Your voice matters, honor the truth that lives inside of you. Deja de cuestionar y callar tu verdad. Si algo se siente mal, si algo va en contra de lo que crees, habla. Si algo te molesta y va en contra de tu amor-propio y honor, no te quedes callada. Tu voz importa, honra la verdad que vive dentro de ti.
- If people don’t like or understand you, that’s ok. Don’t take others perspective personally, know that people view life through their own unique, personal lens. Si a la gente no le gustas o no te entienden, está bien. No tomes la perspectiva de los demás personalmente, debes entender que las personas ven la vida a través de su propio lente único y personal.
- Quality not quantity is what truly matters when it comes to relationships. Surround yourself with those who truly love, value and appreciate you. La calidad, no la cantidad, es lo que realmente importa cuando se trata de relaciones. Rodéate de aquellos que realmente te aman, valoran y aprecian.
- It’s okay to not have life completely figured out. None of us really does and that’s what makes life interesting and fun! Está bien no tener la vida completamente resuelta. ¡Ninguno de nosotros realmente la tiene y eso es lo que hace que la vida sea interesante y divertida!
- Don’t worry about disappointing people. It’s ok. When you start to say no, and honor yourself, there will be people who don’t like it. It is not your responsibility to make other people happy or live up to other people’s expectations. No te preocupes por decepcionar a las personas. Cuando comiences a decir que no y te honras a ti misma, habrá personas a las que no les gustará. No es tu responsabilidad hacer felices a otras personas o cumplir con las expectativas de los demás.
- It is okay to say no to things that don’t serve you. Don’t ever feel bad about saying no, you don’t have to make excuses. You don’t have to feel regret or remorse. Honor yourself by saying no without regret. Está bien decir no a las cosas que no le sirven. Nunca te sientas mal por decir que no, no tienes que dar excusas. No tienes que sentir arrepentimiento o remordimiento. Honrarte diciendo no sin arrepentimiento.
- You can’t be a perfectionist, creative and productive all the time. It’s ok to take a break and have a down time. Your worth isn’t measured by your productivity. No puedes ser una perfeccionista, creativa y productiva todo el tiempo. Está bien tomarse un descanso y tener un tiempo de inactividad. Tu valor no se mide por tu productividad.
- There’s nothing wrong with letting people go. Not every relationship (friendship or partners) are meant to be. Relationships can be with us for a reason or a season. No hay nada de malo en dejar ir a la gente. No todas las relaciones (amigos o parejas) deben ser. Las relaciones pueden estar con nosotros por una razón o una temporada.
- Put yourself first always. Make self- love the most important part of your life. Ponte en primer lugar siempre. Haz del amor propio la parte más importante de tu vida.
