5 Essentials For Productivity

Those who believe blogging is easy are very mistaken.   Blogging has become my passion, I absolutely love it. At times I can be a bit perfectionist with my blog because it has easily become part of my everyday life. Unfortunately there are so many external and internal factors that affect my productivity. So, in order to accomplish my blog goals I have a few essentials for productivity.

Early morning start with touch of COFFEE– First of all I am not a morning person. At times it’s very difficult for me to get my head off the pillow and my fingers keep sneakily pressing the alarms snooze button.  That’s something we are all guilty of but honestly the earlier you began your day the more you’ll get accomplished. My mornings must start off with a dash of French vanilla coffee which gives me the extra energy I need to be a bit more productive.

Comfortable and organized work space- Having a messy work place gives me stress. In order to keep focused my desk has to be organized and clean. I can’t concentrate on anything thinking or worrying about the mess surrounding me. Working in a comfy area rid of all messes provides easy access for my creativity to flow.

Aromatherapy-An easy way to boost productivity is through aromatherapy. Scented candles not only freshen up the air and relax but they can also improve attentiveness. A few of the scents I use to keep me alert are peppermint, lavender, rosemary, cinnamon and jasmine.

Eliminate all distractions– I’m pretty sure I have undiagnosed ADD because I’m easily distracted. This means that when I’m working I eliminate all distractions. So in order to stay completely focused and productive while I work there is no cell phone, no TV and no social media. These are just distractions that waste your time.

Prioritize and plan- A storm of ideas constantly pops into my little head so I keep a notebook with me at all times to write everything down. Forgetting your creative ideas is horrible that’s why it’s crucial to write them.  Prioritizing is also important to keep a successful blog running.   Keep an agenda to jot down all your meetings, photo shoots, blog post uploads and events. Planning everything you want on your blog simplifies you life greatly. There’s so much that goes into blogging from writing posts, proof reading, editing, creating themes and outfits, carry out photo shoots, maintaining social media up to date, answering countless emails and comments, so on and so on. Prioritizing and planning are essential in having a productive day.

So those are the simple essentials I use daily to be productive.  Whether you’re a blogger, entrepreneur or business owner I’m sure these tips will be very helpful to accomplish your goals.

Sea Radio Station with NEUTROGENA®

NEUTROGENA® recently invited me to celebrate Sea Radio Station, the first party under water in union with “La X” radio station. The main objective was to promote the effectiveness of NEUTROGENA® Suncare inside and outside of the water. This party was unlike any other because in order to hear the music you had to submerge yourself under the water. Sea Radio station functions with Oceanears speaker, the same used by marine biologist to communicate with dolphins. All of the music heard underwater were top hits chosen by fans of “La X” radio station.

This party was such a blast, not only because I’m a lover of the beach but the experience was incredible.  I also got a much needed tan thanks to NEUTROGENA® Suncare. With other sunscreens I usually get red and sunburned but NEUTROGENA® Suncare gave me high quality protection and beautifully bronzed skin.

Now, can we just take a moment to drool over my new gorgeous bikini? This swimsuit was the perfect option to wear and make a huge splash at the beach.

Tropical Denim

Chicas, let’s talk about denim. If there is one style of clothing I’m never going to stop wearing it’s denim. Denim will forever be an essential piece in my wardrobe. The skinny jeans I’m wearing are perfect for any of you chica’s who like to try out different styles and looks. This tropical printed denim jean is everything. The inspiration behind these jeans is perfect for a cute summer look.  For a pop of color I combined a cute flowy and airy top. Lastly, for shoes I added braided sandals to give it a more summery vibe.

Gypsy-Indian

Hello chicas! I’m back!  I had a lot of things going on so I took a of couple weeks off from the blogosphere. Besides it sometimes is a good thing to detox from the digital world. Puerto Rico has been suffering from some hot a** weather. This weather is absolutely unbearable and puts me in a horrible mood. Thank God we’ve been getting a bit of rain because we are also undergoing a drought which makes this situation even worse.

Due to this major factor I’ve been keeping my wardrobe and makeup very simple. Hey, if it were up to me I’d walk around naked.

I am showcasing one of my favorite and easiest looks ever because you can’t get any simpler than wearing a pair of jeans & a T-shirt. I’m obsessing over this Gypsy-Indian Qüero crossbody bag. It can be dressed up or down. It’s definitely the main statement piece of this entire look. I love a playful style like this; totally comfy, cute and feminine.

Be Lovely,

Love & Sunshine

Lately the weather in Puerto Rico has truly been unbearable. After living in New York for basically most of my life dealing with freezing winters you would think naturally I could handle the heat. It’s unfortunate that walking around naked isn’t a viable option. Every day the same question tortures my brain, “What am I going to wear?!”  I strategically think about my outfits; wearing clothes with light fabric and colors have helped me deal with the hot weather. I also have to admit that the older I get the more I gravitate towards a more sophisticated and minimal chic style.

I love how simple and easy to dress rompers are, you just throw them and you’re ready to go. This fun and vibrant romper I got from Gatsby is a little more structured and makes it seem as if I put in way more effort dressing up than I really did. Styling this romper was so easy; I paired it with neutral wedges and gold accessories. Voila, here’s a super fun and sophisticated OOTD for a hot sunny day.

Are you a fan of rompers?

Different Ways to Style a Tropical Print 2-Piece

Tropical print is taking over this summer with an explosion of color and mix of flora. The best part about this trend is that you’re actually not required to be vacationing on an exotic island in order to wear it.

My new tropical printed set is the perfect addition in my wardrobe.   When it comes to dressing it the combinations are endless. If you want to give this exotic trend a try here are three chic outfit options.

tropical Print

Outfit #1 Wearing the same tropical print top and shorts is a very daring option but I love it.  Because the print is very bold I chose minimal accessories and black wedge shoes. This sun-loving set is perfect for a weekend with the girls.

Outfit #2 Embracing the island vibes, for this outfit I chose the tropical top and paired it with white skinny jeans and wedges.  White pieces mixed with tropical print gives you a rich and sophisticated look perfect to wear on a romantic date.

Outfit #3 To give the tropical print shorts a feminine touch I styled it with a fun and flowy white blouse, black ankle booties and bold jewelry. This look is very fun and flirty.

I love everything about this tropical print set. Wearing it makes me feel like I’m on vacation and I don’t know about you but feeling like you’re on vacation is a major thumbs up for me. Chicas, Island life never looked better.

Which tropical outfit is your favorite?
