San Juan Moda 2015: Carlos Alberto

Top designer Carlos Alberto also presented at San Juan Moda’s fall-winter edition and I was there to witness all of the glamour from his new collection Frenesi. For his presentation Carlos Alberto united forces with the Wilnelia Merced Forsyth Foundation.  The cute and adorable little girls who formed part of the models were definitely the highlight of the night. I’m a huge sucker for kids and they brightened the show with joy. In this new glamorous collection by Carlos the colors red, black, gold and silver dominated the runway with glittery sequins and fabrics. Take a look below at the special moments I lived that night during the show.

San Juan Moda 2015: Ecliptica & Hard Rock

I hope everyone had a wonderful Spring break and Easter. Today I’ll finally be presenting more details and pictures from San Juan Moda’s shows. I’ve been such a horrible blogger lately, I have a few post behind. Sorry, I took this spring break seriously. There were so many things I wanted to accomplish but I was mentally exhausted and needed a time out. BUT I’m back and have lots of great things coming up.

As I pointed out on my previous San Juan Moda post, Hawaiian Tropic hosted my VIP invitation to the shows. On the second day of San Juan Moda I enjoyed amazing runways by Ecliptica and Hard Rock Café.

Ecipltica’s fall-winter collection “Vasilisa” was completely charming and beyond lovely. Norein and Michelle Otero; sisters and designers of Ecliptica have such an incredibly creative talent. I adored their collection.

I’m very happy to announce that Hard Rock Café will once again open its doors in San Juan Puerto Rico. Consequently, they also formed part of SJ Moda presenting “House of Hard Rock” which united their rocking top designers,  House of Haggerty & NOXIUS.   This presentation opened with a performance by Siete, who rocked out on the guitar. 2006 Americas Next Top Model, CariDee English, was the star model of the night and she completely owned the runway.

Below you can enjoy my favorite moments from the night. I’ll be uploading the rest of San Juan Moda’s shows briefly.

Spring Break = Liberation

I could not be any happier that its spring vacation. It feels so wonderful to be on a break, a definite time to distress. I’m not much of a traveler during spring break. During this free time I  accomplish major cleaning, catch up on blog stuff, relax and of course hit the beach.

The weather in Puerto Rico has been beyond perfect, so I decided to go for a stroll in the park. Holding onto my distressful and relaxing vibes I wore a very casual outfit and ZERO makeup. It feels so freeing when your makeup free. I feel as if my face can actually breathe. My outfit was very simple, it basically consisted of denim shorts, a t-shirt, sunnies and comfy sandals.  This entire look defined my spring liberation.

What have you been up to this spring break?

Be Lovely,

Charlene Gonzalez

Macy’s Beauty Happy Hour

In recognition of their 15th anniversary, Macys Puerto Rico held a “Beauty Happy Hour” exclusively for bloggers. Macy’s showcased the newest products from top brands Dior, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Nejma Parfums and Bobbi Brown. For each brand there was a spokesperson who offered details on each line.

Directly from California representing Anastasia Beverly Hills was their account executive Alicia Sanchez. Alicia is a sweetheart; she gave my eyebrows a perfect makeover and presented all of Anastasias newest products including their famously known contour kits.

For Nejma Parfums, straight from France was Nejma’s general manager Elisa Mariotti. Nejma has a collection of perfumes inspired by an arab love story about a forbidden romance between Nejma and a royal man. The collection of 7 fragrances represents the 7 daughters of Nejma. My favorite fragrance was #7.

Representing for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics was director of artistry and education Rogelio Reyna. It was an honor to meet Rogelio. He showed me Bobbi Browns multitasking makeup collection which is perfect for working women on the run who don’t have much time to apply makeup on.

Last but not least Dior presented me with a beautiful white rose in honor of the new collection Dior Prestige. Great music, delicious treats and presents were all part of my amazing evening. I’m very honored and thankful to have been invited to this exclusive beauty bash.

I want to also thank Gatsby for providing my entire outfit for this event! It was a very comfy, colorful and cute look.

Be Lovely,

Charlene Gonzalez
