Since I’ve moved to NY, I’ve been constantly asked how I’m surviving with the cold weather. Yeah, I know it’s a drastic change from Puerto Rico’s tropical summer weather all year long but there nothing better than experiencing the transitioning seasons.
One mistake I made coming to New York was underestimating the weather by not bringing the right clothes, so I’ve had to revamp my wardrobe. During the winter wearing multiple layers is mandatory but it’s a problem when you run out of cute outfits.
Lately, I’ve been more about cozy and warm outfits but occasionally I torture myself and wear non- winter friendly looks like this cut-out bodycon dress. Just because it’s freezing out, doesn’t mean I have to give up on style. Believe me if I survived being Pentecostal for half my life by wearing skirts all the time in below zero weather, I can survive anything.
Winter is the only time during the year that you can wear fur (faux, of course). I’ve been embracing faux fur to keep me warm. Fur can be worn with just about anything to give your outfit a majorly luxe upgrade and this beige fur coat sure does looks very luxurious.
I love boots! Great winter style really comes down to a good pair of boots. Got myself a fab pair of over-the-knee beauties and had to show them off by pairing them with this short dress.
This look proves that even during winter great style is very possible. Being in New York has me embracing my inner snow queen and becoming the winter fashionista I was born to be!
