Yay! Summer has officially begun! Truth be told, it’s actually summertime all year round in Puerto Rico.
Last week one of my childhood besties came to visit me from New York. We had a blast together and a much needed “girlcation” (Girls Only Vacation). Our main goal besides touring the hottest spots in Puerto Rico was to distress. So, we began by visiting Mar Chiquita Beach in Manati. After, we visited the Coamo Thermal Hot Springs. These springs are one of Puerto Rico’s natural wonders. By any chance if you’re wondering, the spring’s hot water is created by a dormant volcano under the ground, which still contains hot magma. Water from Coamo’s river finds its way to the magma and mixes with its natural minerals creating sulfurous water, which is than filtered out to the surface. Amazing right?! I was definitely blown away. After I bathed in the thermal pool my skin felt so soft and healthy. Our last official stop was at Cabo Rojo but on our way we visited La Frutera in Mayaguez where we enjoyed a delicious Green Juice. Afterwards, we continued our journey towards Cabo Rojo’s Lighthouse. Now, Los Morillos Lighthouse (El Faro) is a very historical site and one of the top places to visit in Puerto Rico. As you will see in the pictures on my trip to Cabo Rojo I opted for a comfy look with a white t-shirt , white shorts and G.H Bass & CO. sneakers from La Defensa.
I love interior tourism and road trips because there are so many beautiful sites in Puerto Rico. You probably won’t believe me but I’d lived in PR for more than 10 years and I had never been to any of the spots I visited on my mini girlcation. Yes, I know, shame on me. Experiencing so much beauty left me in awe. Puerto Rico may be a small island but it has so much to offer.
Be you, Be Lovely
