A problem I’ve always had to deal with which has driven me very crazy is having really oily skin. I know a lot of you also face this problem so I want to share the secrets I follow that have helped me reduce the appearance of oil on my face. Follow these tips so you can get rid of the grease and dirt to improve your skins complexion.
• Wash your face two or three times a day. To prevent oily skin you need to keep your skin as clean as clean as possible. My favorite face washes are “Cetaphil daily facial cleanser” & “Origins Zero Oil Deep Pore Cleanser”.
• Use Oil Free Moisturizer and cosmetics.
• Use a mud, clay or aloe vera based face mask two or three times a week which is beneficial in controlling oily skin.
• Keep your skin hydrated by drinking at least eight glasses of water daily.
• Create your own fruit acid mask smashing a small amount of papaya and spreading it on you face. Leave it for at least 5 minutes, then rinse it off.
• Another great homemade treatment is rubbing half a potato on your face and leaving it for 10 minutes then rinse it off with warm water. You can do this once a week.
• Drinking a glass of fresh orange juice every morning improves and controls oily skin.
• Increase your intake of vegetables, fruits and whole grains.
• Reduce fats and oils in your diet.
• Supplement your diet with vitamins such as vitamins B, A, C and E. A multivitamin is perfect because it includes all of the vitamins you need.
• Rest well and exercise.
• Do not drink alcohol or smoke.
• Minimize your intake of chocolate and fried foods.
