Hello my Lovelies!!
On Saturday September 12th the 7th edition of BloggerCon was held at the University of Turabo in Gurabo Puerto Rico titled “Let’s Do It”. BloggerCon Puerto Rico is a must-attend conference for all local bloggers. It’s the ultimate event for acquiring skills, tips, resources to better your blog and learn how to work with brands. There is a ton of opportunities for networking where you can meet bloggers, agents and brand Reps.
Having attended my fair share of BloggerCon events in the past years I can definitely testify it’s the ideal place to grow as a blogger.
This year my presence at the event was a bit different mainly due to the fact that instead of being an attendee I was a speaker. During this 7th edition the cyber world of the fashion bloggers was introduced. I had the extraordinary honor of being part of a fashion blogger panel where I shared my experience and gave tips covering the theme “Reaching the Fashion Blog Trend”. During this panel session I was accompanied by fellow bloggers The Trend Oven, Loydi Carrion, Charlotte BellaFab & SustyleTV. Our panel host was model & TV host Mimi Pabon. It was a tremendous honor to have been given this opportunity to share my journey as a fashion blogger. A few other speakers and panelist at the event were Manny Ruiz and Angela Suistaita-Ruiz founders of Hispanicize, Mauricio Ojeda Manager of Youtube Alliances , Jessi Langsen from Hill+ Knowlton Strategies, La Mafia PR and Clarisse Céspedes of Baby Center. I want to especially thank Jose Hernandez Falcon for year after year giving his all in providing the best for all local bloggers through this amazing conference he has created. Jose, because of you bloggers are finally being recognized in Puerto Rico and I couldn’t be more grateful.
Now onto another important detail; my outfit. Ok, because I was going to be a speaker it was very important for me to look cute but mainly feel comfortable. Let me be real, I was terrified of speaking in front of a huge crowd of influential bloggers. Being the complete klutz that I am there was no way in the world I was going to wear high heels to walk on the stage where most likely I was going to trip over my own feet and fall flat on my face. So for shoes a pair of ankle booties with a small and comfy heel where my best option. Whenever I have a major event I never go crazy looking for an outfit I just call my friend and designer of PIA COLORS who always has fabulous designs for me to wear. The lovely dress I wore proves that fact. When my eyes made contact with this beautiful dress I instantly fell in love and knew it was the one.
