The Pressure to Be Perfect

My heart desires to share an important message with the hope of touching your lovely heart. It’s very upsetting to witness how in the society we live in women are constantly bombarded with the pressure to be a non-realistic image of perfection.   Society wants to poison your mind into thinking that you have to be skinnier, your required to have double D breasts to be beautiful (Oh well, that sucks because I have small boobs and I’m proud.), you need to be sexier to be popular, driving a Ferrari or Porsche is a must to be important, an overloaded bank account is a requirement, you always have to rock the latest Michael Kohrs bag or your boyfriend has to be a super-rich hot William Levy look alike. Honestly?! That’s all just a load of garbage.  All of it sums up to a false image that would never bring anyone true happiness.  The message society wants you to think is that if you don’t possess anything they require your just not good enough. Society can kiss my Nuyorican behind. That false image of perfection only leads chica’s into depression, anorexia, bulimia, low self- esteem and even suicide.

Perfection is overrated. You have to realize how unique and beautiful you are. You own so many incredible qualities and abilities but you’re too blind to see them because you’re too concentrated on being the next Miley Cyrus, Jessica Alba or Britney Spears, those celebrities are also far from perfect. They are just like any other woman who faces fear and insecurity. Appreciate who you are and love yourself because you are worth more than gold.  The real you is better than perfect.  Don’t try to fit in with society, be authentic, be unique and shine in your own way.  Leave a mark in the world just by being yourself always.  Just as Bruno Mars say’s “You are perfect just the way you are”.

Be yourself and don’t ever change xoxo
