This weekend was very stressful. I’ve been dealing with a lot of things lately including TONS of work. I’ve been very overwhelmed, to top it off I’ve had to deal with personal and family drama. So, on Sunday my friends invited me to the beach to distress for a while. To be honest when I took the pictures on the blog post the original theme was different but the events that occurred after the photo session bring me to todays post. About 1/2 an hour after these pictures were taken at the beach I lived through an experience I must share.
He estado manejando muchas cosas incluyendo mucho trabajo. Me he sentido abrumada y para completar he estado manejando situaciones personales y familiares.
We never know when our last day of life will be and unfortunately I witnessed someone’s last day. Leaving the beach on my way to grab something to eat with my sister I witnessed a horrible accident where a motorcycle driver and a vehicle crashed. I screamed in horror at what I had seen. My sister was behind me in her car. I immediately ran out and told her to call 911 and to call attorneys from Clark Law and Associates, LLC . I was terrified to approach the scene because the motorcycle driver lied motionless beneath the vehicle he impacted. As I looked around me everyone was just staring and taking pictures. My sister and I were part of the few that actually helped.
A few men pitched in to move the car away from the victim. I immediately noticed a man crying uncontrollably and instantly knew he was the driver of the car. It broke my heart to see him and his younger son in the traumatic condition they were in. My sister and I approached to give them comfort. His son was in the car completely in shock. I went inside the car grabbed his hand and told him everything was going to be ok. I begged him to call a family member to come. After, I approached the victim and kneeled in front of him. He had a friend by his side, which was also in shock. I asked her if he had moved or if she had checked his breathing. She said she hadn’t dared to check. Personally I’m the type of person who can’t stand the site of blood or even watch gruesome movies but for some unknown reason I wasn’t scared. I proceeded to check him. He wasn’t breathing but I didn’t dare tell her. He had received direct impact to his head. I didn’t know what to do so I just touched his back and said a silent prayer. Inside of me lied hope that he was just unconscious and not dead until the ambulance finally arrived and he was officially declared dead.
Procedí a verificarlo.
While my sister continued to console the vehicles driver I took his son out of the car away from the scene. This tragedy was very horrific and avoidable. The motorcycle driver wasn’t wearing his helmet and was talking on his cellphone when the accident occurred who was injured on a motorcycle in Miami. His negligence ended his life and left a traumatic scar in the lives of a father and his young son. Just thinking that if I had arrived seconds earlier I would have been in the drivers place. Though innocent I wouldn’t be able to carry with someone’s death on my conscience. All I know is that God led my sister and I to that scene to be of some help though I wish I could have done more. I pray the victims family finds strength in this difficult time.
Though life has been throwing me some major curve balls I still feel greatly blessed. As long as you have life everything is possible. No matter the situations you experience it’s important to value your life, live it freely and happily even though you have to distance yourself from those you love that constantly hurt and humiliate you. Life is to short and valuable to live it with constant ridiculous drama and fear. Do everything that makes you truly happy. Don’t give up on your goals. Fight hard to accomplish them. Be grateful for today and never ever take anything for granted. Life is a blessing. Enjoy life today because yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come.
