Dealing with acne has been one of my greatest struggles. I mean seriously acne sucks! Everyone who’s anyone wants gorgeous clear skin but its not always possible thanks to stress, hygiene, hormones and even your monthly cycle.
For me, maintaining a daily skin care routine has been the key to fighting blackheads and acne. That’s why I want to enforce the importance of a good skin care regimen if you are struggling with acne as well.

As a blogger I have a special work space, so I can concentrate on everything that has to be done. While in school I also had a special area for schoolwork. Laying in bed or sitting in the living with the TV on is not a wise choice. Make your studies a priority by creating a small comfy studying niche that will help you focus on accomplishing your goals and acing the school year!

Seriously, I can’t believe it’s been 4 years. Lovely Chicas went from a fun hobby with a few posts every once in a while to a real growing blog, brand and business! This year I was even nominated for a Fashion Creator Award courtesy of the Tecla Awards! Honestly this journey has been amazing. All of this has been possible thanks to all of my amazing followers, friends and family. Thank you all for the support!
This blog has grown and so have I. The shy girl who created Lovely Chicas is now a confident and fearless woman. Lovely Chicas has allowed me to share who I am without holding back. I have always maintained everything true to my style, which I can describe as simple, sophisticated and chic. I’ve learned so much from this beautiful journey especially to be true to myself and to never give up on my dreams.
Maintaining Lovely Chicas has not been easy. If I could detail how hard this has been and the struggles I’ve encountered you probably wouldn’t believe me. Yes, there have been times I’ve wanted to give up but the passion I have for this blog is so strong that I just can’t let it go. It’s become more than a hobby its part of who I am. This isn’t just a fashion and beauty blog. Lovely Chicas is a place where girls can feel beautiful and confident.
These past few years have been amazing. I’ve accomplished things that still amaze me. I have been given so many opportunities and possibilities from Lovely Chicas.
Now onto the anniversary photos, the fashion look I created to celebrate these four years features a cropped blouse and mini skirt both with golds studs from A’GACI. For shoes I wore golden snake print heels. A chic and sophisticated look accessorized by heart balloons. Theme dressing for the 4th of July can be a bit tricky especially when you have to work with red, white, blue in addition to stars and stripes.
My trick in wearing patriotic attire is to style them accordingly by hinting at my American pride without going overboard.
This year I decided to keep my look cool and casual by channeling my inner country girl. Obviously, nothing says the Fourth of July like wearing an American flag blouse. Pairing denim shorts to a look is always my favorite option. Plus the shorts high-waisted silhouette worked perfectly with the blouse. For a truly all-American ensemble I wore my favorite chic cowgirl boots. I love how the boots add western-inspiration with the touch of some cowgirl flair.
