On the 1st of December the first ever influencer Christmas Party was celebrated at Comfort Inn Suites & Suites Levittown. Hosting “Christmas In Comfort” was such a perfect way to begin December. I’m extremely happy with the outcome of this event. Hard work definitely pays off. It made me so happy to see Puerto Rico’s best influencers united having such a great time.

This party was completely epic but the highlight of the night was definitely creating our unique Mannequin challenge, which by the way you can check out on Lovely Chicas Facebook.

My Trendy Schok Mini Tablet

As a blogger having high quality work equipment is a “must”. Especially when I’m always on the run and my schedule is extremely busy. Great tech gear I can count on is a necessity. So, let me introduce you to my life saving obsession, the Schok Mini. Everything I normally do with various tech gadgets I can do it all with this mini tablet. It is a total blessing because I don’t have to carry my laptop everywhere. The one thing I love the most about this mini tablet is that I could simply put it in my purse and blog on the go. Girl talk: When He Cheats

When I asked you ladies for the topics and themes you wanted me to cover in “Girl Talk” cheating was definitely a recurring subject in the messages I received. There was one question that especially hit me hard.

“My boyfriend cheated on me, should I forgive him?”

To answer this question I feel it’s best for me to share my personal experience. Many, many, many years ago I had a partner who I NEVER thought would be unfaithful. He had a very important position in society to the point that his reputation was admired by many. Honestly, I thought he was madly in love with me too.

Finding out he was cheating was the worst experience for me. After he had left my house one night I realized he had left his digital recorder. I immediately called him because I knew it was important to him. His quick response was “Thanks for letting me know and please don’t hear anything on it.” Ok…….if a guy tells a girl not to do something you better be sure she’s going to do it. So, I locked myself in my room and began to hear his recorder. To my surprise it wasn’t his voice on the audio but of another woman. This woman was professing her love and detailing intimate moments they had together. Her words, “When you touched me.”, “I am completely yours.”, “I belong to you; heart and body”…….those words burned deep into my mind. My legs began to shake and I collapsed to the floor feeling broken. I cried uncontrollably than the anger set in. I picked myself up, grabbed the phone and called him. When I told him what I had heard he began to cry and continuously asked for forgiveness but for me it was over. No number of sorries could ever win my trust back. To me knowing he had sex with someone else was just unforgivable. As time passed he continued to try and win my heart back. Even to a level where he asked me to marry him. The last time we spoke I remember him saying that I was going to regret the decision I made but I never did.

After that heartbreak it was very difficult for me to ever trust again. My heart was completely hardened. As time past by the roots of anger grew deeper within me. Why am I confessing this? Well, because yes you should forgive him. Forgiveness is for YOU not for him. Forgive him and move on. Forgiveness liberates your heart and brings you peace. Don’t hold onto bitterness and anger as I did. When someone breaks your heart trust is shattered. I strongly believe that when someone cheats they can do it again. Forgiving him does not mean you give him your heart again. If he hurt and disrespected you he is not worthy of your heart.

Heartbreak is the worst. When you give your heart away you trust that person to care for it. Don’t let that bad experience get you down. Sooner or later you will find someone that will truly value and love you completely. In the mean time enjoy being single. Go out with your friends and have fun, conquer your goals and rediscover yourself.

Urban Decay Re-Launch Party

Urban Decay recently held it’s re-launch Party at “La Factoria” which is Puerto Rico’s hottest spot and one of the best bars in the world. As an official brand ambassador I was one of the exclusive attendees of this trendy event.

The events dress code was “Beauty With an Edge” and to me nothing could be more edgy than a leather dress.

The Crosshatch Leatherette Dress I decided to wear is from A’GACI and it has officially become my favorite little black dress. To make a sexier statement I created a fierce makeup look with Urban Decay’s Naked Smokey Palette, Vice Lipstick in the Shade “Wrong Number” and the bronzer/highlighter/blush trio Naked Flushed.

“Lazos de Amor” Visit’s Children’s Shelter

“With great power comes great responsibility.” Yes, I just quoted Ben Parker from Spiderman because it couldn’t be far from the truth. Though I may be no superhero I cherish the influence I have achieved as a blogger. If there is anyway I want to
influence my followers its to do positive deeds and help others in need. That’s why I began “Lazos de Amor” an initiative that has united influencers to make a positive difference in Puerto Rico.

This past weekend a few of Puerto Rico’s best influencers visited the children’s shelter “Hogar Cuna San Cristobal”. This shelter cares for children within the ages of months to 8 years. Each child has suffered through a traumatic and abusive experience. Children are the most precious and innocent beings. It completely disgusts me that people who abuse and abandon them exist.

During our visit, we played with these little angels and provided them many with gifts. The children’s smiles and laughter were priceless.

If I could spend my life making others happy through their pain and struggles I’d say I’ve accomplished my life’s mission. There is no greater satisfaction then helping others especially children. We all go through hard situations and if I were to describe the difficult situations I’m currently living through you probably wouldn’t believe me. I’ve made a promise to myself that nothing would fade my smile. The truth is that no matter what we go through there are others struggling through worse.

I want to thank all of the bloggers and influencers who helped and participated in this special initiative. I also want to thank Walmart, 20th Century Fox (Trolls), Banana Boat Kids, and Dulzura Borincana for providing their donations. Below I’ve left pictures of this incredible experience including the Walmart Shopping spree with La Shoppinista Stephanie Li where we bought many donations for the children.
