Casual Funk Look and New Short Haircut

This is officially the first blog post where I’ll be debuting my new short haircut.  If you follow me on Instagram or facebook you probably already know I participated in a beautiful initiative “Cortando el Cancer de Seno” (Cutting Breast Cancer). Unfortunately breast cancer has stricken many close loved ones so in support of this activity and everyone suffering from breast cancer I decided to cut my hair. Yes, it was a completely spontaneous decision and honestly I was terrified because I’ve had long hair my entire life but hair does grow. My simple sacrifice does not even compare to the pain and suffering women battling with breast cancer have to face. I hope that in some way my minimal gesture gives women battling with breast cancer a bit more strength.

My drastic hair change has not been easy to get use too. Curling my hair has been a difficult task. The burns on my fingers are proof of that, so I’ve basically kept it simple and easy by just opting to maintain my hair straight. Cutting my hair was a huge decision because my hair has always been my main accessory but I’m learning to embrace this new me.

I wanted to share this cute playful look I recently wore. It’s safe to say that denim skirts are once again cool and I’m totally digging my acid washed distressed skirt. Now let’s take a moment to admire my “If I invest my time in you appreciate that” t-shirt. Ok yeah, I just wanted to let that quote sink in….moving on. I love being a girly girl and wearing high heels but nothing beats those casual simple days where I’m running around in sneakers. My leopard print sneakers are perfect for dressing down any feminine look.

By the way I have some really amazing collaborations and events coming up which I know you will really enjoy, so stay posted and follow me on all of my social media channels to keep up to date with everything.

Marc Forgione Enamora A puerto Rico

Favorite Things: Fringed Booties & Ripped Jeans

Fall in Puerto Rico? Transitioning seasons is kind of difficult in Puerto Rico considering the fact it’s sunny all year long. When I lived in New York for most of my life I loved transitioning my wardrobe as each season came by. It’s difficult to get use to the thought of wearing sandals, crop tops and shorts during fall. I’ve finally come to learn that even if I live on the hottest island on earth I can still enjoy falls best trends.

I’ve always been head over heels for boots so you can probably imagine my insane obsession over these suede fringed booties. I decided to style these booties with my favorite ripped jeans and a lace crop top. The ripped jeans add the perfect edge which makes the look even more eye catching and super fun for fall.

How do you wear your fav booties?

Beauty Lover: JCPenny Beauty Festival

This is part of a sponsored collaboration with JCPenney and DiMe Media. However, all opinions expressed are my own.

Beauty to me means feeling like the best version of yourself. Every woman deserves to feel beautiful; whether it’s having a fragrance that makes her feel sexy and captivating, a skin care regimen that leads to flawless skin, owning the perfect lipstick shade or simply finding a relaxing escape where her every need is fulfilled.  Thank goodness JCPenny has us covered with their beauty festival celebration.

Honestly speaking, walking into the beauty department of any store can be a bit overwhelming. There are so many choices and needs we have with no idea where to begin but there are many beauty experts available at JCPenny to guide us all.

For me JCPenny’s #FestivalDeBelleza (beauty festival) was a one-of-a-kind experience. First of all, I was treated with a much needed relaxing massage courtesy of Clinique. Than I was off to explore cosmetics wonderland. Every section was like a beauty 101 class. I learned so many new makeup tips and techniques. As I indulged in numerous beauty treatments I found the perfect solution for my tired eyes “Guerlain Super Aqua-Eye serum” and I also restocked on my favorite face powder “Diorskin forever compact” and “Clinique High Impact Mascara” .

JCPenny’s beauty festival extends until the 24th of October and I invite you all to experience this divine festival for yourself.

Autumn Details

Maxi dresses are beautiful, chic, comfortable and very versatile. They are the perfect transitional piece for all pumpkin spice-latte season long. Wearing a  printed maxi dress is one of my favorite ways to feel extra feminine during fall. The print and hue of this particular Pia Colors maxi beautifully reflects the tones of the autumn. For jewelry I wanted to make a bold statement with personalized Trollbeads pieces so I combined multiple bracelets. The different textures of the leather bracelet, silver bangle and the variety of beads really brought together this entire look embracing fall trends.  For a touch of delicacy and a hint of glamour I wore a pearl ring.

I truly enjoy styling Trollbeads pieces. This remarkable brand allows you to design and personalize your own jewelry that way you’re chooses perfectly meet your standards and align with your personality.  Be sure to check out Trollbeads website to create your own personalized styles.
