Visiting NYC is always a great idea! I live in Rockland County, just an hour’s drive from the city. While my suburban area is beautiful, it can sometimes feel a bit dull, so NYC is my perfect escape.
Interestingly, in Puerto Rico, my escape is the beach, but here in New York, it’s the vibrant chaos of the city.
To get to the city, I take the ferry from Haverstraw to Ossining, then hop on the Metro-North train to Grand Central Station. This journey is both peaceful and not stressful, as it helps me avoid traffic and saves on gas, tolls, and parking.

Even though it’s spring, the weather was surprisingly cold, and I ended up buying a scarf from a street vendor to keep warm. I visited Times Square, caught a glimpse of my favorite group, BTS, (on a billboard) and stopped by the Line Friends Store. I managed to resist buying more BT21 merchandise because I already have quite a collection!
Later, I met up with a close amiga for some quality time. We strolled around, enjoyed delicious Korean food at Food Gallery 32 in K-Town, browsed a few shops, and she introduced me to Hudson Yards.

Although all the walking in NYC can be tiring, I absolutely love it! The city is bursting with things to see and do, and the creative energy is truly inspiring!
