Skinny jeans are my best friend. They’ve been with me through everything from amazing romantic dates, horrible “I need to get out the hell out of here” dates, epic and memorable events and even embarrassing moments. Skinny jeans are a staple that we’ve all worn for most of our lives and they’ll never ever go out of style.

Los mahonés skinny son mi mejor amiga. Han estado conmigo en todo momento desde citas románticas, citas horrorosas, eventos memorables e épicos y hasta momentos vergonzosos. Los mahonés skinny son una tendencia que hemos utilizado por la mayor parte de nuestra vida y jamás se irán de moda.

Now onto details about my look; If there’s anything I love more than skinny jeans are high waisted skinny jeans which give a gorgeous upgrade to a simple silhouette. To create a feminine casual-yet-dressy attire I simply wore a lace white bodysuit and rose-gold kitten heel stilettos.

Ahora nos vamos a los detalles del atuendo que les quiero presentar; Si hay algo que amo más que los mahonés skinny son los mahonés skinny de cintura alta los cuales te dan una hermosa silueta. Para creer un atuendo femenino, casual con un toque de elegancia lucí un bodysuit de encaje blanco y unos zapatos metálicos de oro rosado.

I honestly own so many pairs of skinny jeans. Besides being comfy you can dress them up or opt for a more casual look. They are so easy wear and versatile. How do you like to style your skinny jeans?

Life’s A Beach

When I think about spring break I automatically think about the beach, golden sand, palm trees and waves. Beautiful tropical destinations are my source of inspiration and tranquility. The beach is my go-to spot to destress. There is nothing more freeing than walking barefoot on the sand and the soothing sound of the waves. Thank goodness I live on a beautiful Caribbean island where my beach getaway is just minutes away from home.

Cuando pienso en las vacaciones de primavera automáticamente pienso en la playa, arena, palmas y olas. Hermosos destinos tropicales son la fuente de mi inspiración y tranquilidad. La playa es mi lugar ideal para liberar el estrés. No hay nada más libre que caminar descalza en la arena y escuchar el sonido de las olas. Afortunadamente vivo en una bella isla caribeña donde la playa está a solo minutos de mi casa.

Just a bit more than 6 months ago Puerto Rico was devastated by Hurricane Maria which ravaged through the island causing total damage. In this destruction the beaches were also wrecked. Though beaches still have a bit of damage it doesn’t stop anyone from visiting and enjoying a one of kind tropical paradise. Puerto Ricans love to enjoy life and our beaches are our #1 escape.

Hace un poco más de un mes Puerto Rico fue devastado por el huracán María que arraso por la isla causando muchos daños. Las playas también fueron destrozadas. Aunque las playas aún tienen pocos daños eso no impide que se pueden disfrutar. A los puertorriqueños nos encanta disfrutar la vida y nuestras playas son nuestro escape #1.

Visiting the beach on spring break was so liberating and relaxing. The beach is my happy place and it’s definitely one of the specialties I love most about Puerto Rico. Beaches aren’t a top perk in New York where I lived most of my life. Another benefit of living on a tropical island is owning a wide collection of swimwear. Looking back, if I owned a bathing suit it was a miracle and living in NY had nothing to do with that fact. I was raised in a very strict religion where wearing swimwear was considered a sin (among other ridiculous things). Some religions tend to have strict beliefs especially for woman. Wearing a bathing suit on the beach and soaking in some sun is absolutely liberating. It has nothing to do with being sexual but a lot more to do with being comfortable in your own skin, confident and embracing all the wonderful things life has to offer (like natural sun kissed tan).

Visitar la playa en las vacaciones es muy librante y relajante. La playa me hace muy feliz y definitivamente es una de las especialidades que más amo de Puerto Rico. Las playas no son un beneficio que encuentras en Nueva York donde vive la mayoría de mi vida. Otro beneficio de vivir en una isla tropical es que llegas a coleccionar una gran variedad de trajes de baños. Mirando hacia atrás si tenía un traje de baño era un milagro y ese hecho no tenía nada que ver con Nueva York. Fui criada en una religión estricta donde consideraban lucir trajes de baños un pecado. Algunas religiones tienden a tener regalas estrictos específicamente dirigidas hacia las mujeres (maldito machismo). Lucir un traje de baño y sumergirse debajo el sol es muy librante. No tiene nada que ver son ser sexual pero más con estar cómoda en tu propia piel y abrazar todas las hermosas cosas que la vida ofrece (como un bronceado natural del sol).

Sebastian Yatra Interview & Private Concert

Singer & songwriter Sebastian Yatra presented an intimate concert with the radio station La X where various fans enjoyed his hits which included “Traicionera”, “Sutra”, “Robarte Un Beso” among others. This exclusive event took place at Vivo Beach Club and besides the private concert everyone present had the chance to meet Sebastian during a meet & greet.

El cantautor colombiano Sebastián Yatra realizo una presentación íntima junta LA X en donde varios fan pudieron disfrutar de sus éxitos que incluyen “Traicionera”, “Sutra”, “Robarte un Beso” entre muchos más. Este evento exclusivo se llevó a cabo en Vivo Beach Club y además de la presentación íntima los invitados tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer a Sebastián durante un “Meet & Greet”.

Sebastian has launched great hits like “Alguien Robó” ft Wisin & Nacho, “Devuélveme el corazón” and his most recent song “A partir de hoy” with David Bisbal which has millions of views on youtube. At the end of March Sebastian Yatra will launch a new song titled “Por Perro”.

Sebastián ha lanzado grandes éxitos como: “Alguien Robó” ft Wisin y Nacho, “Devuélveme el corazón” y su más reciente tema “A partir de hoy” con David Bisbal ya cuenta con millones de views en youtube. A finales de marzo lanzará un nuevo tema titulado “Por Perro”.

I personally had the opportunity to speak with Sebastian and he shared many details about his music and upcoming projects. Yatra will officially have his first concert in Puerto Rico on June 6^th at Vivo Beach Club.

Tuve la oportunidad de conversar con Sebastián donde me compartió detalles de su música y próximos proyectos. Yatra oficialmente realizará su primer concierto en Puerto Rico el 6 de Junio en Vivo Beach Club.

I wanted to share the outfit I wore to this private event giving you an idea of how you can dress for his upcoming concert. Due to the style and place of the event I decided to wear an urban chic look which is one of this year’s hottest trends. Urban Chic style is comfortable, modern, versatile and very functional. This trend is a mix of classic and varied pieces styled together to create a modern and original look. In my urban chic style I wore a black bodysuit with denim shorts. To give my look a more urban chic touch I added a fringed belt with leopard print boots creating a unique vanguard look. This trend is very easy to accomplish and is ideal for any occasion.

Quiero compartirles el atuendo que lucí para este encuentro íntimo con Sebastián Yatra así puedo brindarles una idea de cómo pueden vestir para su concierto que se a próxima. Debido al estilo y lugar de este evento decidí llevar un atuendo “Urban Chic”; un estilo cómodo, moderno, versátil y muy funcional. La tendencia urban chic es una mezcla de prendas clásicas y variadas creando looks muy originales e modernos. El urban chic es una de las tendencias más grandes de este año. En mi look luce un bodysuit negro con mahonés corto. Para darle un toque urban chic le añadí una correa con franjas y botas de estampado leopardo así creando un estilo único y a la vanguardia. Esta tendencia es muy fácil de lograr y si te gusta estar a la moda el estilo urban chic es ideal para ti. Les recomiendo lucir un atuendo “Urban Chic” ya que será ideal para la ocasión.

Tomb Raider Review

There’s nothing more amazing than a woman that can kick some serious ass and that’s exactly what you’ll see in the newest Warner film Tomb Raider. Lara Croft portrayed by Alicia Vikander is a total representation of a powerful, fierce, strong, independent, brave and empowered woman.

No hay nada más increíble que una mujer que pueda patear traseros y eso es exactamente lo que veras la nueva instalación de la película Tomb Raider de Warner. La actriz Alicia Vikander interpreta el personaje de Lara Croft. Su representación presento poder, fuerza, independencia, y empoderamiento de mujer.

The thematic of the movie is based on Lara’s struggle to cope with the disappearance and probable death of her father. Lara stumbles upon some clues about her father’s disappearance, so she ventures on a journey to find the truth. What she eventually finds are epic struggles, battles and tons of surprises.

La temática de la película se enfoca en la lucha de Lara para superar la desaparición y probable muerte de su padre. Lara encuentra unas pistas que la dirigen hacia el misterio del paradero de su padre. Ella se lanza en una aventura en busqueda de la verdad. Lo que eventualmente encuentra son épicas batallas, dificultades y grandes sorpresas.

This movie is full of action that will literally keep you on the edge of your seat. Some of the action sequences made me scream and jump. My most memorable experience during the private screening of the film was grabbing my friends arm and screaming “Holy F$@%, that scared me!” (It was actually kind of embarrassing)

Esta película está repleta de acción la cual te mantendrá al borde de tu asiento. Muchas de las secuencias de acción me sacaron par de sustos y gritos. El momento más memorable que vive durante el screening privado de la película fue cuando casi le arranco el brazo a mi amiga y grite “Cara&% que susto!” (Me dio un poco de vergüenza)

Tomb Raider is already available to watch at all movie theaters in Puerto Rico. This video game film is definitely a must see and its fully recommended by me.

Tomb Raider ya se está exhibiendo en todos los cines de Puerto Rico. Tienen que ver esta película, está 100% recomendada por mí.

It’s March 8^th, International Women’s Day! Today we honor every woman and their achievements.

Es el 8 de marzo el Día Internacional de la Mujer. Hoy honramos a cada mujer y sus logros.

Woman are the embodiment of beauty, wisdom, inspiration, strength, love and courage. International Women’s Day celebrates the power of women, their rights and role in society. WE woman are powerful badasses. There’s nothing we can’t accomplish because we are fierce, passionate and brave. Woman work hard, accomplish their dreams, run empires, complete all duties without complaining, give birth, raise children, take care of their families and so much more.

Las mujeres son la encarnación de belleza, sabiduría, inspiración, fuerza, amor y coraje. El Día Internacional de la Mujer celebra el poder de las mujeres, sus derechos y papel en la sociedad. Nosotras somos tan poderosas. No hay nada que no podamos lograr porque somos feroz, apasionadas y valientes. Las mujeres trabajan fuerte, cumplen sus metas, dirigen imperios, completan todos los deberes sin quejarse, traen al mundo vida, crían sus hijos, cuidan sus familias y mucho más.

As a girl boss, I want to inspire young women to keep pushing forward. To believe that they can be whatever they want to be and achieve whatever they set their sights on. I want all young girls to dream and aspire for more in life. Be honest, virtuous, and true to yourself. Find something you love doing, work hard and you’ll accomplish it.

Como una girl boss quiero inspirar a todas las chicas jóvenes a seguir hacia delante. Crean que ustedes pueden lograr todo lo que se propongan. Quiero que sueñen y aspiren por más en esta vida. Se honesta, virtuosa, intregra y fiel a ti misma. Encuentra algo que amas, trabaja fuerte y lograras tus metas.

Oscar’s Viewing party

The 90^th Oscars ceremony was held on Sunday March 4th giving the year’s best movies their grand moment of glory. I had the chance to attend an Oscars Viewing Party at Condado Vanderbilt Hotel hosted by Moet Chandon.

La 90ta ceremonia de los Oscars se celebró el domingo 4 de marzo dándole un gran momento de gloria a las mejores películas del año. Tuve la oportunidad de asistir a un “Oscars Viewing Party” en el Condado Vanderbilt Hotel auspiciado por Moet Chandon.

For me the most epic moment of the Academy awards was Keala Settle’s spectacular performance of “This is Me” from The Greatest Showman. That song is beyond beautiful and empowering. The biggest winner of the night was the sci-fi film “The Shape of Water” by Guillermo del Toro which won best picture among other awards.

Para mí el momento más épico de los premios fue la espectacular presentación por Keala Settle cantando “This is Me” de la película The Greatest Showman. Esa canción es absolutamente bella y poderosa. El gran ganador de la noche fue la película de ciencia ficción “The Shape of Water” por Guillermo del Toro que gano mejor película y otros premios.

Not only is the Oscars a big night for movies but for fashion as well. The stars wore their best to shine on the red carpet. Even though I only an attended a viewing party I had to step up my fashion game as well. I wore a gorgeous dress by a local brand, VARV. The moment I saw this dress I fell in love, though when it came time to wear it I was a bit nervous because I was going to show more skin than usual. It was a daring look I don’t regret.

Los Oscars no tan solo son una noche para las películas pero para moda también. Las estrelles se lucen con sus mejores vestimentas para brillar en la alfombra roja. Aunque yo solo asistí a un “viewing party” también quería lucir mi mejor atuendo. Lucí un hermoso vestido de la marca local VARV. El momento que vi el vestido me enamore aunque les tengo que confeso que cuando llego el momento de ponérmelo estaba nerviosa porque iba mostrar más piel de lo normal. No me arrepiento de haber lucido este vestido espectacular y atrevido.
