Once again, we welcome a new year which will be full of new opportunities and experiences.

Whatever our personal resolutions or goals may be we all aim to have success. In order to have a successful year you must forgive yourself for anything you’ve done wrong and for any weaknesses. Whatever mistakes you made this year don’t take that baggage with you into the new year. Let it all go and move on. Your mistakes are lessons learned which you can convert into gifts; gifts of strength, power and hope. Use it all as motivation for everything you desire to conquer in 2019.

Nobody is perfect. We all make mistakes, say or do the wrong things. Trust me, I’ve made tons of mistake this year but when we fall, we must get up.

So many things happened and changed this year. 2018 was a roller-coaster of a ride.  It was a year full of many exciting accomplishments. Lots of incredible things occurred. As I look back at everything that happened this year, especially the bad I realize that it all defined and shaped me into someone better.  I took some time to analyze my year 2018 by literally scrolling through photo memories on my phone reminding myself of every single experience that occurred.  Here are 18 important lessons I learned in 2018.

Top lessons I learned in 2018:

1. During every life process you have an opportunity to grow.
2. Do not force ANYTHING! If it has to be forced, it was never ever meant to be.
3. Make yourself a priority.
4. Surround yourself with those who really want to see you succeed and friends who truly support you.
5. People enter your life for a reason, a season or lifetime. No matter the circumstances each one is meant to teach you something.
6. Its important to follow your instincts because not everyone has good intentions.
7. Have no expectations of anyone…it saves you from stress and heartache.
8. Let go of toxic relationships and friendships because usually their loyalty ends where their benefits end.
9. You are worth so much and deserve it all. Don’t ever compromise your value.
10. The times you fall aren’t important but the times you get up are.
11. Always be authentic and genuine.
12. Failure is an important part of growth.
13. No matter how difficult the struggles are they don’t last forever.
14. Life is full o f opportunities, go for them.
15. Always be grateful.
16. Your faith can move mountains. Trust in God always.
17. Don’t ever compare your life to others. It only takes away happiness, peace and overshadows all the great things you’ve accomplished.
18. Life is short, live it to the fullest with no regrets.

Though there were struggles and difficult moments this year the incredible experiences outweigh the bad. I’m beyond grateful for everything I lived through in 2018 because it made me a stronger, more self-empowered, determined and focused. This new year I aim to continue accomplishing my goals and being a better person.

 There’s never any guarantee that you’ll achieve your resolutions or goals, but you must put yourself into it fully and work hard. Stop desiring what you want in life and take action.

Our lives are a book and now we move onto a new chapter titled “2019”. Everything you desire is within reach. This year I want to see you shut many mouths as you conquer yours dreams.
