Following after the sensational hit movie “X-Men: Days of Future Past” director Bryan Singer and 20th Century Fox now return with “ X-Men: Apocalypse”. X-Men: Days of the Future Past took place in the early 1970’s but X-Men: Apocalypse will be set in 1983. This means younger versions of Jean Grey, Cyclops, Storm, Night Crawler, Quicksilver and Beast will be included in the film. The narrative of this next X-Men installment surrounds itself around the awakening of the immortal and most powerful mutant Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac). This terrifying being recruits Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and other mutants to create a new world order. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Professor X (James McAvoy) and Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) lead a team of young X-Men to stop their seemingly invincible nemesis from destroying every human on Earth.
I’m a huge X-Men fan and in honor of X-Men: Apocalypse which premieres in Puerto Rico on May 19th I created a fashion look inspired by Mystique who is one of my favorite characters. Mystique, played by my favorite gal Jennifer Lawrence, is a shape-shifting mutant who can morph herself into anyone. She is humanly known as Raven Darkeholme. In her mutant form Mystique is scaly and blue, with golden eyes and slicked back red hair.
Recreating her sultry and sexy look was pretty simple. I wore an A’GACI blue jumpsuit that accentuates the body and for shoes a pair of sophisticated iridescent faux snakeskin pumps that are very similar to the appearance of Mystiques skin. Lastly and most importantly blue makeup was a most. I wanted to present a glamorous and versatile makeup look, so I created a blue smokey eye with various NYX cosmetics products. This Mystique inspired style is very easy to recreate and can be worn as a date night look.
