Farewell summer and welcome fall! When I think about fall the first thing that comes to mind is Pumpkin Spice Latte. I want to thank my local Starbucks for letting me have my dose of Pumkin Spice Latte before it was officially launched. They always spoil me!

Seasonal transitions are always a bit tricky to dress for. Especially in the Caribbean when we have the same weather all year round; it’s either sunny and HOT or rainy and humid. Having lived in New York for most of my life I truly miss the change of seasons mainly because of all the amazing styles for each time of the year. So what’s a chica like me going to wear during this summer to fall transition; a colorful & eye-catching printed dress. This Pia Colors dress I’m wearing works great in both seasons. I paired it with wedge shoes perfect for an evening stroll.

Fashion Bloggers at BloggerCon 2015

Hello my Lovelies!!

On Saturday September 12^th the 7th edition of BloggerCon was held at the University of Turabo in Gurabo Puerto Rico titled “Let’s Do It”. BloggerCon Puerto Rico is a must-attend conference for all local bloggers. It’s the ultimate event for acquiring skills, tips, resources to better your blog and learn how to work with brands. There is a ton of opportunities for networking where you can meet bloggers, agents and brand Reps.

Having attended my fair share of BloggerCon events in the past years I can definitely testify it’s the ideal place to grow as a blogger.

This year my presence at the event was a bit different mainly due to the fact that instead of being an attendee I was a speaker. During this 7^th edition the cyber world of the fashion bloggers was introduced. I had the extraordinary honor of being part of a fashion blogger panel where I shared my experience and gave tips covering the theme “Reaching the Fashion Blog Trend”. During this panel session I was accompanied by fellow bloggers The Trend Oven, Loydi Carrion, Charlotte BellaFab & SustyleTV. Our panel host was model & TV host Mimi Pabon. It was a tremendous honor to have been given this opportunity to share my journey as a fashion blogger. A few other speakers and panelist at the event were Manny Ruiz and Angela Suistaita-Ruiz founders of Hispanicize, Mauricio Ojeda Manager of Youtube Alliances , Jessi Langsen from Hill+ Knowlton Strategies, La Mafia PR and Clarisse Céspedes of Baby Center. I want to especially thank Jose Hernandez Falcon for year after year giving his all in providing the best for all local bloggers through this amazing conference he has created. Jose, because of you bloggers are finally being recognized in Puerto Rico and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Now onto another important detail; my outfit. Ok, because I was going to be a speaker it was very important for me to look cute but mainly feel comfortable. Let me be real, I was terrified of speaking in front of a huge crowd of influential bloggers. Being the complete klutz that I am there was no way in the world I was going to wear high heels to walk on the stage where most likely I was going to trip over my own feet and fall flat on my face. So for shoes a pair of ankle booties with a small and comfy heel where my best option. Whenever I have a major event I never go crazy looking for an outfit I just call my friend and designer of PIA COLORS who always has fabulous designs for me to wear. The lovely dress I wore proves that fact. When my eyes made contact with this beautiful dress I instantly fell in love and knew it was the one.

Don’t know if you’ve noticed but you can find cute camouflage pieces for outfit inspiration everywhere. There is so much to love about this trend. A camo piece adds a tough-girl touch to a flirty look. Absolutely any feminine style looks cooler when it’s given a camo print.

My girlie grunge military inspired look definitely has a certain bada$$ coolness to it. To build my look I paired a printed t-shirt with baggy camouflage jeans. I made my grungy camo outfit even edgier with a dose of heeled timberland styled boots. Timberlands have made a huge comeback this fall and winter mainly because they are trendy and easy to match with most outfits. I’m obsessed with this urban New Yorker look which totally gives off a “don’t mess with me” vibe.

Bedtime Facial Skin Care Routine

No matter how extremely exhausted and tired I may be I never ever go to sleep with makeup. Sleeping with makeup on does major damage to your skin. During some recent Hollywood buzz Kim Kardashian posted an Instagram picture with the following quote, “Ugh I hate falling sleep with all of my makeup on!” during an interview she confessed “I just love to take care of my skin. I’m always researching different products and I always try so many different things. I don’t just stick to one face wash or moisturizer. I always need a makeup wipe. I’m typically a skinny jeans type of girl but since the jogger pants trend is back in style I needed to tag along with this comfy trend. So I decided to channel my inner Sporty Spice with these acid wash jogger/track pants which happen to be very cool and comfy. The key to pulling this style off without looking frumpy is to wear cute heels and a delicate top. And of course, I made a huge statement by accessorizing with a gold chain necklace.
