3 Year Blogiversary – Pretty In Pink

It’s Lovely Chicas birthday today! July 7, 2015 marks three years since my trembling fingers pressed publish on my very first blog post. Sitting here thinking about what to write isn’t easy because there is so much I want to say and so much I’m thankful for. Being honest, before publishing Lovely Chicas a spent a few years battling with doubt on whether to begin a blog or not. I was very nervous about publishing the blog because of how people would react. I’m not a fan of being judged but I’ve learned not to care what people think and just do what makes me happy.

Reflecting on the trials, tears, accomplishments and success, I don’t regret my decision. It’s been a whirlwind journey. I created this online space to share a piece of whom I am, to share my ideas and advice with others. This particular year has been a big one which allowed me to successfully work with so many brands, designers on special collaborations and projects. Greater things are coming and I owe that all to my supportive follower’s. I’m very attached to lovely Chicas, this blog has become a part of me. I am happier now than I was 3 years ago. Lovely Chicas has provided me with things I’ve only dreamed of. The shy girl I use to be is long gone; a confident women who’s not afraid to take risk now shines through me.

So, I wasn’t sure how to celebrate my Blogiversary, with so many ideas I decided to simply do a special post with “Pretty in Pink/Candy Land” type photos. Since being normal is not my thing and thinking out of the box is, instead of blowing the candles of a cake why not celebrate with my favorite treat; a candy apple (which btw I only had a single bite of because Xavier decided to eat it all). My entire pinkalicious chic & fabulous look is from Gatsby who were on board to be part of Lovely Chica’s 3^rd blogiversary.

With all my love and appreciation I want to thank everyone who has been a part of this amazing journey. Thank you Xavier for not only being an incredible boyfriend but for being the one who makes all my crazy ideas comes to life. My beautiful followers thank you for showing me constant support. Knowing I have so many incredible readers to share my thoughts with is just amazing.

Red, White & Blue

Happy Independence Day! On July 4th I’m more than proud to be an American; my patriotic pride is high powered. The Fourth of July is a time for barbecues, the beach, fireworks and of course dressing in red, white and blue which is something I look forward to every year. So, this is my Fourth of July inspired look which is perfect for a semi-casual party. I paired a crisp white mini skirt, sleeveless plaid blouse with the USA color combo and cherry red stilettos for a super trendy and effortless look. The blue crossbody bag adds a sparkle of chicness. Too finish, I threw on my American Flag sunglasses which to me are the coolest part of this look. Without a doubt this will be my most stylish Independence Day yet!

So, how are you all going to celebrate? When I lived in New York with my family it was definitely all about the picnics and FIREWORKS!! Now that I live in Puerto Rico things are very different and I can only enjoy the fireworks by watching them on TV. But not matter where I live I always wear my American pride which is something I will never lose.

El PULSO de Christian Meier

El reconocido actor Christian Meier visitó la isla para el lanzamiento de su fragancia Pulso de ÉSIKA. En un relajado encuentro en el Hotel San Juan Resort pude disfrutar de un delicioso coctel y una conversación íntima con el galán. Christian hablo sobre esta nueva etapa de vida siendo el no tan solo la imagen de la fragancia pero también co-creador.

PULSO es una fragancia irresistible que pertenece a la familia olfativa oriental con una base de madera. Su aroma envolvente, cálido e inolvidable es gracias a la combinación de notas de cashmere, ámbar, y acordes de frutas secas. Así como las envolventes notas de tabaco, cardamomo, cedro rojo y el toque especial que sólo Christian Meier pudo inspirar.

El protagonista de telenovelas como Alguien te Mira, El Zorro, Cosita Linda y Doña Barbara detalló todo sobre su fragancia Pulso entre otras cosas muy interesantes.

“Cuando termine la novela El Zorro estaba pensando cómo utilizar mi nombre como una marca creando un perfume o una línea para caballeros, ahí fue que tuve contacto con ÉSIKA. ÉSIKA me propone ser la imagen de una fragancia de ellos, entonces yo le dije que no, más bien porque no nos juntamos y creamos una nueva fragancia en la cual no tan solo tenga mi nombre pero que también de una forma yo participe en el proceso y ahí fue que se creó Pulso”, así detallo Christian sobre su inicio en esta aventura.

Al preguntarle ¿Qué tiene de ti Pulso? contesto “Creo que todas las cosas que me gustan de Pulso de alguna manera las tengo yo. El hecho de que Pulso te hace sentir elegante, seguro de ti mismo, exitoso, de alguna manera seductor, sexy, cómodo; creo que todas esas cosas las siento en mi y ese fue el concepto que hablamos con la perfumista cuando le dije quiero una fragancia y que esto sea lo que se sienta”. Meier también se involucro en el concepto del nombre de la fragancia dejándose inspirar en que de alguna manera te acelerara los sentidos. Christian destaca que Pulso es una fragancia sofisticada que está dirigida a los más elegantes, lo que les añadirá al atuendo perfecto la confianza que necesita.

Christian está trabajando en muchos proyectos que incluyen varias películas y una campaña con History Channel titulada “Una Idea Para Cambiar La Historia” por lo tanto en su tiempo libre expreso que disfruta estar en su casa y descansar, también le fascina ir al cine.

Por cierto, si alguna de ustedes chicas se han preguntando que le acelera el Pulso a Christian Meier, el confesó que los hombros de la mujer porque piensa que es la parte más atractiva que tienen las mujeres.

Un dato muy interesante que muchos desconocen de Meier es que además de ser actor, cantante y empresario él es diseñador gráfico de profesión. Christian jocosamente me contó que de lo único que estudio, se graduó y tiene diploma es de diseñador gráfico. Confiesa que si no hubiese estudiado diseñador gráfico nada de lo que ha logrado en su carrera hubiera ocurrido. Todo lo que ha hecho en su carrera, su estética, como se viste no hubiese sido igual sin la base de diseñador gráfico.

Sin lugar a duda Christian Meier es un hombre de muchos talentos que no se limita a nada.
